How to write copy for a website

Who knows how many thousands of people want to earn a living as a copy writer online and never make a single penny? I don't, but I do know the number is huge. I also know that I have earned money as a writer on the internet and that it is not difficult when you know what to do. In fact, the demand for content on the internet is so great, you don't even have to be a fantastic writer. If you write at a ninth grade level, you can earn a lot of money online.

The copy writer's last and most critical part of the his arsenal is to ask for the order. This is done with a specific instruction using P.S and P.P.S to reinforce the sales letter and reviews the letter briefly.

Generally speaking, December through February are the worst months to send direct mail. The best months are March through June. But again it will depend on the target audience you are mailing to.

You have to research and acquire a great mailing list. Sending a great promotion to a bad list equals failure every time. I learn this lesson the hard way, about 15 years ago I created a brilliant direct mail promotion. The campaign was brilliant because it averaged over 5% sales every time I mailed. After mailing this campaign several times as a test and getting amazing results, I decide it was time to send out a big mailing over (20,000 pieces), it was the biggest I had sent in years.

How people view your website is directly related to the strength of your copy. Make sure that you focus on what you are good at. Copywriting is a skill in itself, leave the design work to others. For recommendations on good ways to find a good designer check out this website. Copy writing is what leads to conversion and getting people to do what you want them to do. All of those who have websites that generate income that equals or exceeds the sales of "brick and mortar" businesses, have used the services of an expert Web copy writer. This is no accident!

It cannot be said too often to people looking to make the best of their AdSense website - content is king. The number of websites you will see with uninspiring content can lead you to assume that content takes a back seat to optimization, but the fact of the matter is that the majority of those sites won't be doing much business.

Now imagine if you could turn your articles into such videos? Same content, just a different mode of delivery... instead of people reading a bunch of text imagine people watching it interactively in a video. Research has shown that people prefer watching and hearing videos more than reading long pages full of text. And has become the main successful tool to sell products on line. Which means your videos will have a much greater impact to your bank account.

Favor quality over quantity. You may think that you're increasing your chances of making some cash by offering more opportunities, but if you look desperate, you're not going to get the quality you are after. You might get a date, but it will be with someone equally unfussy and the relationship won't be very satisfactory.

It does take time to build up a client list. Don't be discouraged if you aren't making the big bucks right off the bat. New writers have to work their way up the totem pole and generally start out with the lower paying gigs. You may hear of writers who are making thousands dollars a month, but that is because they have been at it for a while. Some sites pay residual fees; that is, you are paid by how many times your article is viewed. Other sites pay by the article. Article fees can be a set fee, or pay you by the word. Make sure you know the fee structure up front and that you are willing to invest your time for that fee.
